This is a quiet time for us. We have finished most of the holiday craziness, and we have a brief respite until our activity level builds back up to it's normal frenzy. This is a time we feel quiet and reflective. And it was in that spirit that we designed our headline navigation for January 1st.
Our headline navigation section is that pretty flash based section that plays in the middle of our web site, and in January it is going to switch to a new topic: New Beginnings. We thought about what we all do each new year - we make promises about how we are going to improve our lives, give back to the world and of course lose X number of pounds. And if any of these promises are still in effect by February 1st we'd be amazed. So, we designed a few suggestions that we have titled, No Promises; New Beginnings.
Our humble idea was to suggest a few ways in which all of us could get inspired and make a difference. A difference in their own life, in the lives of others, to planet Earth, and towards global awareness. This is about convincing someone that they should get out in the sun and absorb more vitamin D to stay healthy, not about selling a tennis bag. Now, the tennis bag is beautiful and we never mind selling product, but that's not the point. The tennis bag is just an excuse so that we can talk about those new disturbing studies that say Canadians don't absorb sufficient UV.
So check out No Promises; New Beginnings. We know that we have already been inspired just making these lists, and we are more committed than ever to making a change.
