This weekend is just packed with holidays to celebrate. We welcome in the Chinese Year of the Tiger, a year we hope will bring everyone prosperity, wisdom and happiness. Sunday is Valentines Day where we show our love for those close to us, and on Monday we all celebrate Family day.
We thought this would be the perfect time to introduce some new members to our Teatro Verde family. This pair of antique iron Fu Dogs come from Chiang Mai, Thailand. A lush land of beauty, history and architecture. These two Fu Dogs are guardians, they come as a pair, and we have placed them in our entryway to welcome everyone to our home.

One of our Fu Dogs is seen in sunlight, and the other in shadow. Representing the balance of light and dark.
We have completely redone our interiors, adding light, colour and greenery to our decor. The lighter colour palate helps keep the winter blues at bay, and fresh greenery creates an atmosphere of fresh air and spring sunshine.
A pair of green ceramic fish vases look as if they were caught mid gurgle, and are perfect for adding a splash of fun to your decor. We love using them in unexpected places such as offices or bathrooms for a touch of eye catching fun.
This collection of hand painted eggs are just bursting with the colours and images of spring.

Shh... don't tell anyone, but these lovely spring orchids are not real. They are always in bloom, and they don't need water or sunshine. Fresh flowers are always wonderful, but when you leave to go south for a couple of months, these orchids will still be in bloom when you return.
Our collection of mixed bottles in all shapes and colours reminds us that simple household objects can be items of beauty. Adding a touch of colour for spring doesn't need to be fancy, as we have shown here with our vases. Line four or five of these along your table with a single fresh cut flower in a couple of them for a new spring look.
A final touch is a single cast iron Buddha sitting serenely. May we hope that these images and ideas bring you happiness, wisdom and good fortune in the Year of the Tiger.
