March 31st, 2009 - What Sale?
Issue #28

Sale? What Sale?

At Teatro Verde we have an aversion to sales.  We search the world, traveling to far off lands and even a few major cities, hunting for the perfect products for our stores.   We only buy items that meet our very high standards for quality, that capture our interest and intrigue us, and that are beautiful.   Then we have to figure out how to find a plane, truck or boat and somehow get it through Canadian customs.  Just ask John about the amaryllis bulbs last Christmas.   We know our customs forms!

If we go to all that trouble to locate, ship and display an item - why should it go on sale just because a month has passed since it debuted in our stores?  We don't think so!  Some of these items are like family to us, and we need to know they are going to good homes that will value and appreciate them.   That has always been our philosophy towards sales, so we just don't do sales.  But, we are moving and that changes everything.

In May of 2009 we are moving our Hazelton Lanes location to 100 Yorkville Ave.  The space is spectacular and breathtaking and close to 2 blocks away.   If we don't sell it, we have to move it.

For the first time in our history we are having a huge sale.   Almost everything in our Hazelton Lanes store is on sale.  Come in and take a look, but you have to do it soon.  Everything is selling so quickly that we are talking about having to shut down the store earlier than expected as we may have nothing left.

Just promise us that you love and appreciate the items, and that they are going to good homes.
