Yesterday, there was an article in the Globe and Mail saying that retailers were not passing on savings with the higher Canadian dollar to their customers.  We thought we'd add our 2 cents to this topic, now that our 2 cents is actually worth something.

We get asked a lot about this by people coming into the store.  The first thing  that everyone has to remember is that books are printed 6 months ago, and the pricing on the book is established then.  We can't change that, no matter how much we want to.

Some manufacturers set the prices, and if we don't want to sell them for what they say, then they will pull their products.  Duty, customs, gas prices... all this stuff adds up.

That said, our entire line of new Fresh products have been re-priced to reflect the stronger Canadian dollar.  Some of our Christmas stock has been re-priced.  Where ever we get a break in price - we pass those savings on to the customers.

We don't want to charge more than we should - we would rather you spend that extra savings on a splurge for yourself.  Say, a small garden gnome...
