All I Want To Be For Halloween Is Santa Claus

All I Want To Be For Halloween Is Santa Claus...

Every year we face the same problem, when should we put out our Christmas and Holiday decorations?  People stop us at the store and say, "Not Christmas!  What happened to Halloween?"   Indeed!  We understand.  We love that spooky holiday, we love decorating with garlands of spiders and creating a spooky corner of our store.  We even dedicated a special section of our new web site to Halloween, including a spooky dinner party.

What you don't see are all the people who start asking us in August when our holiday line will be out.  We also get a great deal of pressure from other retailers as to when we will shift our windows over to Christmas decorations.  Not to blow our own horn, but our windows are some of the most looked at in both of our locations.

Once upon a halloween past....  we got a little behind schedule, you know how that happens.  We kept promising ourselves that we would put the new holiday things out, but one week slipped into two and soon it was the beginning of November.  What an uproar!  Customers were complaining they wouldn't have time for all their holiday preparations, and one of our owners got very nasty notes left on his car.  SHIFT TO XMAS OR ELSE!  You wouldn't believe how fast those trees and decorations went up.   Now, this is where we look across the candle light at you and tell you this is a true story.  It really happened.

So, this year for Halloween we are going to sift through our closet and find that comfy red suit, the one with the white beard, and grab our bowl of halloween candy.   So, our bowl may have some red and silver ornaments mixed in with the candy, but we have learned.  We just make sure that our candy is not red flocked and crunchy.
