The Teatro Verde store front that opened in 1997 was dedicated to floral arranging and gardening accessories. The “floral couture” that Pellegrino created became so famous and sought after that it was time to expand after only a year. In 1998 a 1 350 square-foot space Teatro Verde Room Service was opened. Unique items were hand picked from a variety of sources, with the majority coming from Asia and Europe. The global culture concept of Teatro Verde was ready for the public.

The public response was so overwhelming that a year and a half later it was time to expand again, and they didn’t stop there. 2001 saw the birth of teatroverde.com and in 2004 a second retail location opened in Bayview Village.  In the spring of 2009 Teatro Verde opened its flagship location at 98 Yorkville Ave in a completely refurbished Georgian Mansion.
